Theme: A Vision for Families

Call for Proposals has closed and presenters have been notified!
SECFR is seeking high-quality proposals for our upcoming 2024 conference. The A Vision for Families theme is general and intended to support a variety of projects focused on contemporary topics impacting individuals and families. All conference sessions should be informative and relevant, promote learner engagement, and demonstrate application to the work of participants. In addition, we especially desire proposals that:
- Have diverse presenters (with varying levels of experience in the field; of different nationalities; or from different institutions and geographic regions).
- Are based on or supported by research.
- Contain original, innovative ideas.
- Stimulate and provoke discussion.
- Have strong connections to practice and/or policy.
- Submit your 150 word abstract and three learning objectives by December 8, 2023!
To maintain the highest quality for all presentation sessions and comply with requirements for Continuing Education Units, clear learning objectives must be stated on each proposal. If you have questions regarding content, please email the Proposal Coordinator, Dr. Cecy Brooks ([email protected]).
Proposal Formats: Paper Presentation, Practice Presentation, Roundtables, Poster Presentation
Policy for Cancellation:
SECFR understands that circumstances may change, and we strive to accommodate our registrants to the best of our ability. In the event of a cancellation, we kindly ask that standard registrants provide us with ample notice. Cancellations must be made at least 30 days before the scheduled program date to qualify for a refund, with the refund amount adjusted to account for administrative fees. Unfortunately, cancellations made less than 30 days prior to the training program will not be eligible for a refund.
Registration Modifications:
We recognize that unexpected situations may arise, requiring registrants to make modifications to their registration details. To ensure a smooth transition, registration modifications, such as substituting a participant or presenter, must be finalized at least TEN business days before the event date.
Registrants are encouraged to communicate any changes to their registration by emailing [email protected] within the designated time frame, allowing us to promptly process the request and provide necessary assistance.
